Instructional Design

Some Beginning Principles of Instructional Design
There are several schools of thought regarding good instructional design. Many course developers use the a traditional design process following these steps:

Analyze
Design
Develop
Evaluate
Revise

This is a cycle that needs to be repeated on a regular basis with each course. Ideally, the developer/instructor is continually analyzing what is working (or not working) each semester and making the necessary design changes.

I have added a page with links to articles about Instructional Design. I recommend reading the article about the role of the Instructional Designer as an agent for change on the campuses.
