Chat
• Improved control over message display
You no longer need to refresh the page to get new messages. You can now change whether messages display from newest to oldest or vice versa and also have the Chat tool show only new messages instead of all messages in a session.
• Searchable chat list
Find the chat you want using the search feature. Specify whether you want to search by title, description and type (personal or general).
• New Interface
The improved interface improves navigation in the tool.
Classlist
• Tab management
You can now control which tabs Classlist displays on the Classlist page; choose to have just one tab with all roles, or include separate tabs.
• Advanced search
New search options enable you to direct searches for other users more effectively. You can search by role, flagged users, online status, locked accounts and last login date.
• Printable list
Now you can print a list of all the users on any one of the tabs in Classlist, or print a list of selected users.
• Group email and paging
Select multiple users to create group emails or send pages.
• User Enrollment
From the Classlist you can now change enrollment status, change and email passwords to users.
• Better user administration
From the Classlist you can now view users’ blogs and view group enrolments.
HTML Editor
• No longer a pop-up
The HTML Editor is now integrated into pages.
• Better spellchecking
Spellchecking now displays errors inline rather than in a separate pop-up window.
• Resizable editing field
The new HTML Editor features click-and-drag resizing for the editing field.
• Better accessibility
The new HTML Editor features improved accessibility with new key commands.
Homepages Management
• Force or share homepages
You can force org units to use a specific homepage. You can also share them with other org units.
• Set a tool as a homepage
You can now set a tool such as Content, News, or Schedule as the homepage for an
org unit, or use any URL.
• New Interface
The new interface offers a much more visual and intuitive way of building and
changing homepages.
Schedule
• Share events
Users can now share events with other users, groups, sections, or org units.
• Share schedules
Users can now get access to public schedules.
• Improved integration
Schedule’s integration with Dropbox, Checklist and Grades has been improved. Schedule can now also integrate with: Quizzes, Discussions, Content, Surveys, and Course Offering info allowing users to easily schedule course events.
• Import and export events
Schedule now supports importing and exporting events in iCal and CSV formats.
• New interface
The new interface provides customizable display options giving users more control over what they see and how. Navigation is also improved.
• Repeating events
Users can now create and edit repeating events.
• Searchable events
Users can now search public and private events to find what they’re looking for.
User Profile
• New interface to match ePortfolio
The interface for User Profile was redesigned to match the new ePortfolio
application. Changes include the addition of headers to sort data more effectively
and drop-down menus for some fields.
User Progress
• Access to more tools
You can now track progress for users in Checklist and Surveys.
• New interface
New page design reduces visual clutter and page length by tracking progress for one course and one tool at a time.
• Printable reports
You can print a report for a user for multiple tools for an overall view of user
progress.
Widget Management
• More customizable widgets
There are now more ways to customize widgets.
• New interface
The new interface offers a much more visual and intuitive way of building and changing widgets.
• My Courses widget
The My Courses widget now shows updates to all courses a user is enrolled in, allowing the user to see unread discussion messages, ungraded quiz attempts and dropbox submissions.
Integration with ePortfolio
• Ties into ePortfolio
Learning Environment integrates with the new ePortfolio through Quizzing, Grades,
Competencies and Dropbox.
