Enumeration: When creating Content Modules you can hide the enumeration of individual modules. This can be done in two places that I've found so far. - When creating a Content Module, immediately below the name and title of the Module, is a check box "Hide Enumeration", that can be checked. This will create the module, yet turn off the automatic enumeration which has been set in the Content Display Settings / Enumeration screen.
- Once a Content Module has been created, you can click on the edit content module button to far right of the Module listing. Under the Release Conditions tab, there is a Hide check box which will turn off the automatic enumeration which has been set in the Content Display Settings / Enumeration screen.

News: To delete news items: - Click on the Edit button in the upper right hand corner of news item.
- In the Edit Item window, click on the News button
in the upper left hand corner of the window. - Check the check box on the appropriate item you want to delete, and click on the trash can icon to the far right.
Discussions: This might have been obvious to others but it took a little time to figure it out. In WebCT, there is the "Reply Privately" button under each discussion posting that generates an email to the author. This is a popular feature with faculty. There didn't seem to be that option in D2L. But, there is..it is just not obvious. Instead of clicking a button called Reply Privately..just click on the author's name (which is a hyperlink) and a compose email mesage is generated to that author. Faculty are happy again!!
